The center held a Sea Water Desalination Symposium on Aug 29. Zhou Huafu, deputy director of the Provincial Development and Reform Commission of Zhejiang, as well as units including Immense Digitize Engineering Co Ltd, Nanfang Pump Industry Co Ltd and Zhejiang Keer Pump Stock Co Ltd participated.
Zheng Genjiang, director of the center, issued a work report, detailing its efforts to develop seawater desalination. Participants discussed challenges over industrial scale, equipment localization and equipment research, such as energy reclamation devices.
During the symposium, provincial leaders discussed industrial scale, equipment localization and research of key equipment such as energy recovery unit in seawater desalination sector.
Zhou requested the center enhance common developments with seawater desalination sectors, and upgrade industrial chains.
